I have been very busy over the past year and a half working on a new album of harp covers from Octopath Traveler II!
I’ll be announcing the title a little bit later, but for now I want you to know that it is almost done, it’s going to come out this fall, and right now I’m getting ready to print some physical CDs of the album.
On my last album, it was important to me to thank all of my patrons in the thank you section of the liner notes because I couldn’t have made it without them.
That’s still true, so I’m doing it again!
Patreon is a fan funding platform where people can support the work of their favourite creators directly.
For me, this has helped me afford things like new software, replacement harp strings, acoustic treatment, cover song licensing, and more.
If YOU want to support this album getting made and have your name in the liner notes of my upcoming album, go to patreon.com/samanthaballard and become a patron of $2 or more by August 1 and your name will be immortalized in the liner notes!
FAQ’s:
How long do I need to stay a patron?
As long as you are a patron as of August 1, your name will be included. After that, you can choose to continue supporting me through Patreon for as long or as little as you wish.
Does this apply to free patrons?
Only patrons of paid tiers ($2+) will be included.
Can I preorder the album?
Preorders are not open yet; that will be coming later on and I’m cooking up lots of fun bonuses for you!
Do I have to buy a copy of the album to see my name in the notes?
Nope! I will be sending all patrons a digital copy of the album artwork and liner notes so you can see it without having to buy.
What does Patreon funding support?
Making an album is expensive! Even though I record at home and have been doing my own mixing, there are still a lot of costs involved, and the support from my Patrons makes this album project possible.
Their support helps cover upfront costs including:
new plugins and software
acoustic treatment for my recording studio
cover song licensing
mastering
album artwork and design (sneak peak coming soon!)
cost of printing CDs
