FUNDAMENTAL EXERCISES FOR THE HARP

Fundamental Exercises for the Harp

For years, I wanted an exercise book that spelled out basic musical patterns such as scales, triads, chords, and arpeggios in multiple keys and with harp fingerings written in that I could use with my students.

But I couldn't find one.

So, after many years wishing I had such a book, I made it myself!

Three books to be precise - each in increasing difficulty to suit each student's developing technical skill.

Fundamental Exercises for the Harp,
Volumes 1-3
are technical exercise books for harpists, teachers, and students alike.

These e-books are meant to be a resource detailing basic patterns in music - namely, scales, triads, chords, and arpeggios - in various keys and with fingerings, brackets, and pedal & lever settings written out.

Each volume’s exercises progress in difficulty and number of keys.

By becoming fluent with these exercises, students will be better prepared when encountering similar patterns in music, gain familiarity with keys and key signatures, learn about chords to prepare for playing with lead sheets, and gain helpful context for learning about music theory.
